Description:
CONTRACT ONLY - Approximately 6 months - MUST LIVE AND WORK IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, LA BASIN TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION. WILL WORK IN ORANGE COUNTY CA. MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN LARGE NETWORK ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENTS. Client requires in-person interviews on short-notice.. 

Candidate MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE in the following: FTP - Scripting - Windows 2008 Active Directory (AD-DS) - DNS 

REQUIREMENTS/JOB DESCRIPTION: 
The candidate must be a self-motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to perform under minimum supervision in a very fast paced, complex environment. Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management, customers and other employees. Candidate must be flexible with his time and willing to handle such tasks that will vary in level of experience. 
This candidate will be primarily responsible for the operational support and engineering of: FTP-Scripting; Windows 2008 Active Directory (AD-DS); and DNS for a multi-agency wide network within our customer’s facilities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
Engineers’ primary responsibilities are administration of FTP Enterprise, Windows Active Directory, and DNS. Other responsibilities include: Linux, Cent OS; VMWare, Exchange environment; HP Hardware Systems, Blade Server, and Microsoft Exchange 2010; Windows Powershell Scripting. Additional responsibilities would include installation, daily maintenance, repairs, system upgrades, technical support, etc. Implement and audit of security configurations, and configuration and implementation of Active Directory site configurations group policies and local security policies. Monitoring of AD DS replication and core services, facilitating automation, and standardization for creation and maintenance of access of network resources. Candidate will also ensure that all documentation on security process and procedures are available and updated regularly. Review, Implement, Test, Administer and maintain an Active Directory and DNS (UNIX & Windows) architecture for a large enterprise. Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test, user acceptance test, and implementation plans for division and provide feedback on such designs. 

Candidate must have hands-on experience in the following areas: 
• FTP – Scripting 
• Windows 2008 Active Directory (AD-DS) - Extensive hands-on Active Directory experience and DNS planning, deployment and support experience, in addition to AD security delegation, AD disaster recovery, and AD group policy creation and administration. 
• DNS 

Candidate would need to be knowledgeable in the following areas. 
• Linux & Cent OS 
• VMWare 
• Microsoft Windows – 2003/2008 
• Scripting 
• SAN a plus 
• Blade Servers a plus 
• DNS/WINS knowledge and experience is a plus 
• Microsoft Exchange - 2003/2007/2010 a plus 
• LAN/WAN – Router/Switch configuration and management experience a plus 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
The candidate must have 5 or more years of hands-on experience in performing the duties outlined above as well as: 
• Candidate must have a Unix Admin Certification or equivalent experience in Linux /Unix 
• Candidate must have MCSE or equivalent experience in Microsoft Products. 
• Proven experience in managing IT Projects and Active Directory in an operations environment. 
• Must have an outstanding ability to analyze problems, propose solution options and structure solution plans. 
• The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
